About this area:
 Mendocino County is located along the California’s northern coast. Sonoma, Lake, Glenn, Tehama, Trinity, and Humboldt counties all border on the inland side. Tourism is the primary industry on the Mendocino coast. Coastal highway 1 and highway 101, which runs through the central county are important transportation routes. Smaller country roads connect Mendocino’s five distinct regions: Anderson Valley to the south, South Mendocino coast, North Mendocino coast, Northern Mendocino county, and the Russian River Valley to the east.
