Solano County Profile

About this area:
Solano lies in the northeast section of the San Francisco Bay Area. There are nine counties that significantly contribute to the economy of the Bay Area as an urban center: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Napa and Sonoma. Solano County’s key location between Sacramento and the Bay Area is attractive to businesses, particularly as its three largest cities—Vallejo, Fairfield, and Vacaville—are positioned along the Interstate 80 freeway corridor.
