The Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program produces employment and wage estimates for over 800 occupations. These are estimates of the number of people employed in certain occupations and the wages paid to them. The wage data has not been validated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and are not official BLS data series; however, EDD Labor Market Information Division feels that the additional information is useful to users of our wage data.

Additional Resources

The Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) program produces a comprehensive tabulation of employment and wage information for workers covered by California Unemployment Insurance laws. The QCEW program serves as a near census of monthly employment and quarterly wage information at the state and county levels and provides the most detailed industry data available. The QCEW data is usually published six months after the end of the quarter. The QCEW data is not available at the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) geographic level except for areas where the MSA consists of a single county and data can be accessed for the county as a substitute. For more information about QCEW data visit QCEW Data in the Open Data Portal or QCEW Information.
